WHAT IS GLOBAL EDUCATION?

Global education is an educational approach to prepare students for a rapidly interconnected world.  The approach is rooted in real world applications to content using a Project Based Learning model.  "The heart of global education is enabling young people to participate in shaping a better, shared future for the world."

MY UNIT PLAN

Aquaculture in Namasale, Uganda

As part of my Fulbright Fellowship, I created a unit plan asking students to examine the impact of implementing aquaculture on the community of Namasale, Uganda.  I choose Namasale as a focus because Lakewood High School has a sister in the community, and I thought this project would be an opportunity for my students to learn more about the students at Global Leaders Day School.
